The Associate Client Director is a senior account lead responsible for steering modern earned media programs, strengthening client relationships, and ensuring teams deliver high-impact work that earns attention and drives business outcomes. This role blends strategic counsel, media expertise, and strong program management — particularly within complex B2B environments. Key Responsibilities Serve as the day-to-day strategic partner to clients, leading programs across modern earned media, reputation, corporate comms, and thought leadership. Shape narratives, storylines, and media recommendations grounded in strong understanding of client business, audiences, and the broader Australian media landscape. Lead account planning and program design informed by the full B2B spectrum, from the needs and behaviours of SMBs through to the complex decision processes of large enterprises. Drive strong media outcomes through active journalist relationships, credible counsel, and smart angle development. Write high-quality materials: releases, pitches, messaging, op-eds, briefing documents, etc, that reflect a sophisticated understanding of media needs. Confidently pitch stories to journalists and editors, tailoring angles to priority outlets and verticals. Manage team workflows, deliverables, and deadlines to ensure consistent quality and accountability. Monitor issues, trends, and competitor activity to identify proactive and reactive earned media opportunities. Provide clear guidance and mentoring to junior team members, helping strengthen craft, media instincts, and client service skills. Support senior leaders in forecasting, budgeting, scopes, and overall account health. About You Strong earned media operator with deep knowledge of the Australian media landscape and what drives coverage today. Experienced in B2B communication and comfortable navigating complex business environments, decision-making structures, and technical subject matter. Excellent writer and storyteller with proven pitching success. Commercially minded, organised, and proactive. Able to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders with confidence.
