Mortdale Hotel is a well-known local venue offering great food, drinks and a welcoming atmosphere for the community. With a strong focus on customer experience, safety and teamwork, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Duty Manager to support daily operations and help lead our team. About the Role As Duty Manager, you will be responsible for supervising the venue during your shift, ensuring smooth operations, excellent customer service and full compliance with licensing and safety requirements. You will act as the main point of contact on shift and support the Venue Manager in achieving business goals. Key Duties & Responsibilities Supervise day-to-day operations during allocated shifts Lead, support and motivate staff on shift Ensure high standards of customer service at all times Handle customer enquiries, feedback and complaints professionally Ensure compliance with liquor licensing, RSA, gaming and WHS requirements Monitor staff performance and provide on-the-job training Open and close the venue when required Manage cash handling, POS systems and end-of-shift procedures Assist with staff rostering and shift allocations Oversee presentation, cleanliness and safety of all areas Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and stock control Implement company policies and procedures during service Report incidents, issues and performance to management About You Previous experience as a Duty Manager, Supervisor or Senior Hospitality Staff Strong leadership and communication skills Excellent customer service focus Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Sound knowledge of liquor licensing and WHS regulations Flexible to work nights, weekends and public holidays Current RSA and RCG (where applicable) What We Offer Full-time or part-time opportunities Supportive management and team culture Career progression within hospitality Competitive salary based on experience Click “Apply for this job” to register your interest in this fulltime salaried position with a starting salary $76K - $85K (plus super)
