The Client Our client is a well established, family owned organisation that is a leading furniture solution provider delivering product and related logistics to the contract furniture market across Australia and overseas. Due to major projects coming up they are seeking to employ a Junior Procurement Coordinator in their office in South East Melbourne. This role is a full time hands on position working in a team of 3 and liaising with local and international suppliers. The Role You will be instrumental in negotiating and building strong relationships with factories and suppliers in Australia and overseas. Working in a team environment and with a large number of projects already secured and in the pipeline, the role is fast paced and will require a multi-skilled administrator with an interest in a Procurement career. You will need excellent relationship building skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to work towards tight deadlines for projects. Skills Required We are seeking individuals who can demonstrate the following skills; 1-2 years procurement experience in the commercial furniture / fit out / building industry in Australia or in a fast paced administration role. Superb communication, presentation and client relationship building skills. Strong team player who is able to work with internal & external departments to rectify problems when they arise. Desire to build a long term career in the procurement / fit out industry. The Package The starting salary package is between $70-80K Super, depending on experience. This will grow as your experiemce does.
