Visiting Medical Officer – General Practice Manilla Multipurpose Service | 30 minutes from Tamworth, NSW Manilla Multipurpose Service (MPS) is a small but vital rural health facility and proudly the largest Multipurpose Service in NSW. Located just 30 minutes from Tamworth, Manilla offers the benefits of rural practice with easy access to a major regional centre. We are seeking General Practitioners interested in a broad and rewarding scope of practice, working across the Emergency Department and HealthONE General Practice. The Facility Manilla MPS provides comprehensive healthcare services to the local community and includes: 54 beds total 40 permanent residential aged care beds 10 acute care beds 4 Emergency Department beds Level 2 Emergency Department Approx. 10 presentations per day HealthONE GP practice Operating Monday to Thursday (with potential for extension) Supported by a Practice Nurse, Community Health and Allied Health teams This role offers genuine continuity of care across emergency, inpatient, aged care, and primary care settings. The Role You will provide contemporary, patient-centred general practice services including: Emergency Department care and on-call services Inpatient, outpatient and aged care services General Practice clinics (HealthONE) Diagnostic, procedural and telehealth services Participation in clinical handover, supervision and teaching Involvement in education, quality improvement and research (as required) Essential requirements include: A primary medical degree registrable with AHPRA Fellowship of RACGP or ACRRM, or eligibility via an approved overseas trained specialist pathway Demonstrated recent experience in General Practice Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary, rural healthcare setting Commitment to professional development, clinical governance and quality improvement Interest in community-focused, patient-centred care International Medical Graduates – Expedited Specialist Pathway This role is suitable for eligible Specialist IMGs under the Expedited Specialist Pathway, which provides a streamlined route to specialist registration in Australia. The pathway currently applies to: General Practice Anaesthesia Psychiatry Obstetrics & Gynaecology Eligible applicants can commence practice following Medical Board approval and complete 6 months of supervised practice.
