Weekly/fortnightly social one on one visits with an Elderly person living at home. We’re reaching out to warm‑hearted people across the Central Coast who truly enjoy slowing down, sharing stories, and connecting with older members of our community. Many elderly people living at home treasure the simple joy of having someone sit beside them, listen to their memories, and chat about the things that light them up — whether it’s family, hobbies, past adventures, or the little moments that make life meaningful. Regular visits from volunteers can make an extraordinary difference. A gentle conversation, a laugh shared across the table, or a moment of genuine connection can ease loneliness and bring comfort, companionship, and a renewed sense of belonging. Your presence isn’t just a visit — it becomes something they look forward to, a bright spot in their week, and a reminder that they are valued and remembered. The person you’re matched with will feel deeply uplifted by your kindness, your time, and the simple gift of being there. Your impact Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated. Your visits will bring great joy to the client you are matched with. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yxFDDi9bS6c HammondCare HammondCare is an independent Christian charity, supporting people to live in their homes and maintain their independence.
