Description Senior Manager, Hyperautomation Permanent, full‑time position Flexible, hybrid working environment Shape the future of Hyperautomation across the entire Fund in this high impact, high visibility, and enterprise‑wide influencing role. At AustralianSuper, we truly care about our colleagues. We know work and life are intertwined. That’s why we support the diverse needs of everyone and have policies that enable us all to thrive and be truly flexible. We ensure diversity is celebrated for the opportunity it provides us all to learn and grow and deliver better outcomes for members. Your New Role Are you a visionary leader with a passion for automation at scale? As our Senior Manager, Hyperautomation , you'll be at the centre of one of the Fund’s most strategically important areas. Hyperautomation is not just part of the Technology strategy, it's embedded in the Fund’s enterprise‑wide ambition to transform how we work, serve members, and deliver value. Reporting to the Head of AI & Automation, and forming part of the Extended Leadership Team, you’ll steer the direction, design, and execution of our hyperautomation agenda across every division of the Fund. This is a highly visible role with extensive stakeholder engagement, influencing C‑suite leaders, divisional executives, and cross‑functional teams. We’re looking for someone who is curious, commercially sharp, open to change (not just delivering it), and always ahead of the market. Someone who spots opportunities before others do, and mobilises teams to solve business challenges proactively, not reactively. You’ll bring a depth of technical knowledge across automation, RPA, ML and AI, but this is not a hands‑on technical engineering role. Instead, you will set the narrative, shape the vision, and orchestrate the delivery of enterprise‑scale automation solutions, ensuring clear alignment to business outcomes, operational performance, and the Fund’s long‑term strategy. What You’ll Do Lead the Fund’s Hyperautomation strategy, driving transformation across all domains and embedding intelligent automation into the fabric of how we operate. Collaborate with C‑level executives, business leaders, and Technology partners to align automation initiatives with long‑term organisational goals. Identify emerging automation, AI/ML, and process optimisation trends, and assessing opportunities for enterprise use and accelerating adoption. Direct the design, integration, and delivery of automation solutions that improve efficiency, resilience, member experience, and risk management. Set standards for governance, quality assurance, and continuous improvement. Drive stakeholder engagement and buy‑in through compelling storytelling about the power and potential of automation. Ensure robust compliance, security, and risk frameworks underpin all hyperautomation initiatives. Build, mentor, and develop a diverse, high‑performing team of automation specialists, engineers, and delivery experts (including technical Vendor resources). What You’ll Need Experience leading large‑scale automation or transformation initiatives in complex, technology‑driven organisations (ideally Financial Services). Strong understanding of RPA, ML, AI, workflow automation, and hyperautomation platforms, paired with the ability to translate technology into business value. Strategic and visionary thinking with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and shape enterprise direction. Proven experience driving operational excellence and measurable business outcomes. Strong commercial acumen and the confidence to challenge, question, and propose new ways forward. A proactive, curious mindset - constantly learning, adapting, and staying ahead of market and technology shifts. Strong communication and storytelling skills. You can translate complexity into clarity and inspire others to act. A passion for fostering innovation, uplifting capability, and empowering people through technology.
