About the Role BDO’s Valuations team is growing and we’re on the lookout for top talent to join our team. We’re seeking expressions of interest from experienced professionals at the Analyst to Senior Manager level to join our dynamic and growing practice. We typically work with large infrastructure investors, private equity funds, ASX-listed companies, and small to large sized local and international private companies. You will have the opportunity to be involved in a broad range of valuations including the valuation of equity, infrastructure investments, independent experts reports, valuation disputes, intangible assets, derivatives, and debt for a variety of reasons including unit pricing, accounting, corporations act, tax and other regulatory valuations. Key Responsibilities Conduct valuations of businesses, securities, and intangible assets using various methodologies including discounted cash flow, capitalised maintainable earnings, and option pricing models. Analyse financial statements, market data, and industry trends to determine valuation inputs. Construct, review and amend financial models. Prepare detailed valuation reports and presentations for clients. Assist in client meetings and presentations, providing expert valuation insights and recommendations. At a more senior level, you will also: Support and mentor junior team members. Contribute to proposal development, training, and coaching. Be responsible for business development and pursuit activities as well as cultivating long-term client relationships. Develop and manage divisional strategic tasks. About You Relevant experience in a professional services firm (ideally in an area such as corporate finance). CA or CFA qualified or equivalent. Valuation and/or financial modelling background Strong time management and written / verbal communication skills enabling results to be communicated concisely and in a timely manner. Exceptional analytical skills. Strong work ethic, interpersonal skills, attention to detail and a passion for adding value. Exposure to digital solutions, data analytics, or AI-based tools is a plus Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word programs. Why BDO?
