A well-established organisation within the manufacturing sector is seeking a Human Resources Advisor to join its Australian operations. The business operates in a unionised environment and places strong emphasis on compliance, safety, employee engagement, and best-practice people management. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, this role provides varied HR and IR support to leaders and employees across the business. You will play a key role in employee relations, industrial compliance, recruitment, performance management, and HR projects, while maintaining a high level of discretion and professionalism. Key Responsibilities Provide end-to-end HR advice across employee relations, performance management, disciplinary matters, and grievance handling Deliver industrial relations support, ensuring compliance with awards, enterprise agreements, and employment legislation Support enterprise agreement activities and union engagement, including preparation of documentation and coordination Manage recruitment and onboarding processes, including contracts and compliance documentation Support remuneration, salary review processes, and liaise with payroll to ensure accurate employee data and payments Maintain accurate HR records and reporting, ensuring confidentiality and compliance Contribute to HR projects, WHS initiatives, and employee engagement and culture programs About you You are an experienced Human Resources Advisor with a solid background supporting leaders and employees across a broad range of generalist HR and industrial relations matters. You bring a practical, solutions-focused approach and are confident navigating sensitive employee relations issues, including performance management, grievances, and disciplinary processes. Experience working within a unionised, operational, or industrial environment will be highly regarded. You have a strong working knowledge of Australian employment legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements, and are comfortable providing clear, compliant advice to stakeholders at all levels. You are well organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Importantly, you operate with a high level of discretion and professionalism, building trust through sound judgement, strong communication skills, and a collaborative working style.
