Your opportunity: The Director of Nursing (DON), Childers Multipurpose Health Service, is a senior clinical and operational leader accountable at an advanced practice level for the overall management and governance of nursing, operational, and administrative services within the facility. The role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred care across acute and aged care streams, while maintaining accountability for facility management, workforce performance, and regulatory compliance, including adherence to Aged Care Quality Standards and relevant accreditation frameworks. The Director of Nursing provides strategic and operational leadership to nursing, administrative, and operational staff, ensuring effective utilisation of human, financial, and physical resources to support sustainable, efficient, and high-quality service delivery. The role leads quality improvement, risk management, and clinical governance activities, using data, audit outcomes, and performance indicators to ensure the service is organised for safety, accreditation-ready, and responsive to community needs.
