About the Role We are seeking a driven, practical Business Development Manager to represent our business across Central West New South Wales. This is a hands-on, on-farm role suited to someone who enjoys being in the yards, talking with producers, and providing practical solutions that genuinely improve livestock management. You’ll be trusted as the face of Shearwell in the region, working closely with cattle, sheep and goat producers, rural resellers, and key industry stakeholders. You’ll operate remotely from your home base, with strong support from a national team, while enjoying the autonomy to manage your territory and relationships in a way that works best for your region. If you come from a livestock, station, or rural sales background and enjoy building long-term relationships rather than hard selling, this role offers the opportunity to make a real impact. Key Responsibilities Act as the regional representative for Shearwell Australia across Central West NSW, building strong relationships with livestock producers and rural resellers. Grow sales by identifying opportunities, supporting customers and our reseller network, and converting leads through consistent customer and sales engagement. Conduct regular farm visits to understand producer needs and recommend practical identification and livestock management solutions. Deliver hands-on product demonstrations in cattle and sheep yards, including EID tagging and equipment use. Support and develop reseller relationships through training, merchandising support, and joint customer engagement. Represent Shearwell at regional field days, livestock events, and industry forums. Maintain accurate CRM records, provide market feedback, and report on sales activity and pipeline. About You This role will suit someone who: Has hands-on experience in the livestock industry (sheep, goat and/or cattle). Is comfortable working independently and managing a large regional territory. Enjoys building trusted, long-term relationships with producers. Communicates confidently with farmers and industry stakeholders. Is practical, organised, and self-motivated. Has a genuine interest in livestock identification, traceability, and on-farm technology. Is comfortable using basic technology such as CRM systems, email, and Microsoft Office. Holds a valid driver’s licence and is willing to travel throughout the region. Formal qualifications are not essential, practical industry experience and credibility matter most.
