About the Role As a Print Engineer at MCC Brisbane, you will play a key role in keeping our state-of-the-art print and finishing machinery running at peak performance. You will lead the maintenance, optimization, and continuous improvement of all equipment and facilities, ensuring smooth production, reliable operations, and a safe working environment. Duties include Safety & Quality Promote and comply with all occupational health and safety policies and procedures. Lead by example in safe behaviors and enforce Global Safety Standards. Ensure Lock Out/Tag Out compliance for all maintenance activities. Maintain equipment and facilities in alignment with food safety and HACCP requirements. Support the Quality Manager in resolving equipment-related customer complaints. Operations & Maintenance Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for all assets. Conduct regular audits to ensure maintenance plans are followed. Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to minimize downtime. Modify machinery to set guides, stops, and safety controls. Assist in installation and commissioning of new equipment. Manage the site maintenance request system and communicate status updates. Control essential machine parts and consumables inventory. Engage suppliers for roller, mag base, and other machine part replacement programs. Manage the site R&M budget and support other MCC sites as needed. Facilities Management Act as primary contact for facilities contractors (security, fire systems, general maintenance, waste). Manage and perform facility repairs and maintenance. Continuous Improvement Build technical skills to enhance equipment productivity. Implement sustainable improvements aligned with site OpEx initiatives. Reduce unplanned downtime and increase machine availability. Promote a culture of continuous improvement in reliability and performance. About you Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or higher. Minimum 3 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance (10 years preferred). Experience in the printing industry; label printing experience desirable. Familiarity with flexographic presses, die cutters, and rewinders. Experience in food and beverage sector preferred. Strong organizational, time management, and teamwork skills. Mechanically minded with a passion for continuous improvement and innovation. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
