About the opportunity The Senior Draftsperson reports to the Drafting Manager and is part of the Complete by McDonald Jones team. In this highly rewarding role, your focus will be producing Production Plans and assist with management of team workflow within specified timeframes in line with the requirements and company standards. More specifically, your responsibilities will include: • Produce detailed and compliant Production Plans within the development requirements. • Assist with the workflow to ensure weekly deadlines are met • Quality checking files and completed plans before they are published • Assisting with any queries other department within operations and construction • Employ critical analysis to improve the quality of design and documentation • Accurately modelling of new house designs in ArchiCAD based on a standard portfolio of designs • Provide experienced advice and mentorship to the remainder of the drafting team • Maintaining knowledge of relevant building codes for compliance with Australian Standards and the National Construction Code (NCC) of Australia About you You will share a passion for our purpose to be Australia’s number one residential builder and be aligned to our core values. In addition, you will demonstrate: • 5 years’ experience and qualified Draftsperson within Volume home builds • Understanding of 3D design and documentation, with experience in ArchiCAD is essential • Qualifications including Diploma of Building Design or Diploma of Architectural Technology or equivalent • Knowledge of National Construction Code and Australian Standards • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and strong interpersonal skills • Good organisational and problem solving whilst liaising with stakeholders We are keen to improve female (and other marginalised groups) representation in our workplaces.
