Description We currently have a permanent Full-time opportunity for a Security Officer / Loading Dock & Waste Coordinator. Join our Health and Education team at Melbourne Connect, based in Carlton, VIC. Reporting to Security Services Manager, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services. This is a multi-faceted role, where you will provide Security Services across the Precinct and Loading Dock area, you’ll also track and monitor Waste activity. This role entails working unsupervised, or as part of a team, to deliver a high-quality service. This position requires the worker to be part of an on-call roster and may be required to coordinate works outside of hours or on weekends. What You’ll Do (key responsibilities) This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including: Provide security service across the Precinct and assist in developing measures to minimize the Precinct exposure to security risk Monitor the CCTV of the Precinct during shift Review and capture CCTV footage for any incident or event Manage the safety in the loading dock Manage Loading dock booking system (Eg. Veyor) Monitor the access control system during shift Capture data and run reports from the access control system Action event requirements with the access control system Waste Management - Track waste daily and follow up any waste issues What You’ll Bring (experience required) The ideal candidate will have proven experience in security preferably in a health facility, correctional facility, police force or defense unit Experience in the role of Security Officer/Crowd Controller at varying sites Experience with CCTV and control room monitoring Current Victorian Security License Victorian Driver's License Current First Aid and CPR qualification (or copy of the application) More than anything, you’ll bring a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes for our clients.
