We specialise in the shaft sinking, mine development, contract mining, raiseboring, underground construction, coal mining, engineering & technical services and specialty services to the underground industry. Responsibilities About the role as an Underground Electrician : conduct regular workplace inspection, fault testing and observations to maintain compliance with safety, efficiency and statutory standards. provide electrical trades labour and supervision and guidance for trades assistants and apprentices. prepare shift reports detailing work performed. ensure electrical works are performed to good practice standards and in accordance with all statutory rules. Qualifications We are looking for. Extensive experience in electrical installation and maintenance in an underground mining environment(preferable) Current WA Electrical Licence or interstate licenses accepted (transferred at your own cost) Current Low Voltage Switchboard Rescue Qualification Certificate Current First Aid and CPR Certificates Current working at heights qualification's Experience with trouble shooting and mine electrical equipment Experience in high voltage work Strong fault finding & diagnostic skills Strong planning and organising skills to schedule and complete tasks The ability to work well with others in a team environment as well as work unsupervised Good verbal and written communication skills; A work ethic and attitude in keeping with Redpath's motto, Consider it done — safely .
