A global underground mining OEM is expanding its Perth-based workshop and is seeking experienced Mining Auto Electricians / Auto Sparkies looking for stability, development, and long-term career progression. This is a 100% workshop-based Auto Electrician role, focused on pre-delivery, commissioning, and maintenance of underground mining equipment in a clean, professional OEM environment. You'll receive ongoing OEM training, structured upskilling, and exposure to world-class underground machinery - without FIFO or site pressure. What's on Offer Lock in a stable, long-term workshop position close to home, working on world-class underground mining equipment in a professional OEM setting. Roster: 5:2 Monday-Friday (Day Shift) | 5:00am - 3:00pm (10 hour days) Pay: Up to $65/hr Super Overtime Employment Structure: Temp-to-Perm contract Ongoing OEM training & world-class career development Modern, well-equipped workshop located in Perth - home every night! Load and Haul department working on U/G Trucks & boggers & more! Family-style culture where your safety and voice come first The Role You'll be hands-on preparing, fitting out, testing, and commissioning brand-new underground mining equipment within a purpose-built OEM workshop environment. Electrical fit-out and pre-delivery inspections (PDI) Installation and testing of wiring looms, control systems & monitoring equipment Commissioning and functional testing of new machines Installation of lighting, safety systems, telemetry & site-specific accessories Electrical fault-finding and rectification prior to delivery Quality assurance checks and sign-off documentation Working closely with mechanical and hydraulic teams during builds Maintaining high safety, quality, and housekeeping standards What We're Looking For Australian-recognised Auto Electrical Trade Certificate (Essential) Certificate II Automotive Air-Conditioning (preferred) Underground mining equipment experience (preferred, not essential) Strong understanding of workshop safety systems A team player with strong problem-solving skills Current driver's licence ability to pass pre-employment checks The opportunity and why apply You'll be joining a tight-knit, high-performing workshop team that takes real pride in quality workmanship and safety.
