Be part of ISS. We are looking for reliable and experienced Chefs and Utility All-Rounders to join our team at Woomera on our ISS Defence contract. There are full-time, part-time and casual opportunities, all of which are on a 14 day on, 7 day off DIDO roster (with these opportunities being DIDO from Adelaide). In the Utility and Housekeeping roles, you will be responsible for working in a range of different services, from housekeeping, cleaning, kitchen hand, catering and other areas of the operations as required. The Positions: Housekeeping Utility : Perform housekeeping tasks, including cleaning of rooms, common areas and operating an industrial laundry. Complete laundry services, including washing, drying, and distributing linens, towels, and uniforms. Ensure proper care of housekeeping and laundry equipment and report any maintenance or safety issues. Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures within the housekeeping function and other relevant areas. Ensure all cleaning and laundry tasks are completed efficiently and in line with health and safety standards. Previous experience in residential or commercial cleaning or housekeeping required. Catering Utility: Delivering excellent customer service – ensuring a friendly and welcoming environment is offered to residents. Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the dining room and kitchen areas. Assisting with food preparation and dishwashing. Assisting the catering team with cleaning the kitchen, dish/pot wash, rubbish removal, restocking food items, cleaning kitchen equipment, mopping/scrubbing floors, chemical handling, stock unloading, cleaning dining rooms, restocking bar/drink items, vacuuming/mopping. Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures within the kitchen/catering department and other relevant areas. Assist with tavern and retail services as required. Food handling background preferred. Chef: Working closely with the Head Chef, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality meals across Breakfast, Crib, and Dinner—while proudly upholding ISS’s reputation for excellence and creating memorable dining experiences that exceed expectations. What We’re Looking For Across All Roles Previous DIDO experience (preferred but not essential). Ability to undertake regular travel to site on a DIDO roster. Flexibility to work as part of a team and ability to assist in all areas of the operations. Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a positive team-oriented attitude to work. Ability to work in a remote setting and dynamic environment. Physically fit with the ability to successfully pass pre-employment medical requirements, including blood tests and drug and alcohol assessments. Additional requirements for Chef roles: Must have Australian Trade Qualification of Commercial Cookery Certificate 3 or higher Proven experience as a chef in high-volume catering, including bulk meals and banquet or function service. Experience in commercial kitchens (healthcare, mining, hospitality, etc) Must have with a strong ability to meet client expectations for food quality, presentation, and strict adherence to food safety and HACCP standards.
