Job Description The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced WHS Business Partner to join our People & Culture team in a newly strengthened safety function. This is a hands-on, business-facing role supporting a diverse, multi-site and multi-state organisation. You will provide expert WHS advice, coach leaders and staff, and partner with stakeholders to deliver practical safety solutions that drive continuous improvement and compliance. Key Responsibilities Provide skilled WHS advice, coaching and support to managers, employees and contractors. Lead and support incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions. Partner with stakeholders to embed WHS systems, processes and responsibilities across the business. Conduct safety audits for new and existing properties and biannual office audits. Support risk identification, hazard management, and incident reporting across all sites. Contribute to the continuous improvement of WHS management systems and workers compensation frameworks. Develop and deliver WHS training, including employee orientation sessions. Coordinate and support the WHS Committee, ensuring regulatory compliance. Prepare WHS reports for leadership and Board reporting. Manage WHS budgets, suppliers, and compliant safety equipment. Desired Skills and Experience About You You are a confident, values-driven WHS professional who enjoys partnering with the business and making safety practical and meaningful. You will bring: Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety (or equivalent). Minimum 5 years’ experience in a WHS advisory or business partner role. Experience in the not-for-profit, community services, or human services sector. Strong working knowledge of WHS legislation, compliance and best practice. Proven experience conducting incident investigations and risk assessments. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to work autonomously while collaborating across diverse teams. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Desirable: Experience using Safety Champion or similar WHS management systems. Work Requirement: Current Working with Children Check. Clear National Criminal History Check.
