7 month role with possible extension Brisbane CBD based This role requires: - Expertise in financial statements and the ability to design a model that integrates SAP ECC6 data downloads into Excel or Word for producing departmental financial statements. - Strong technical accuracy and presentation skills to ensure statements meet professional standards. - In-depth knowledge of Accounting Standards and Queensland Government Financial Reporting Requirements, particularly Sunshine Accounts. The successful candidate will also: - They will support the preparation of the department’s financial statements, ensuring that all notes and disclosures are accurate and complete. - They will contribute to the department’s financial accounting and asset management functions, coordinating asset revaluations and monitoring material transactions to maintain the integrity of the general ledger. - The role will provide high-level professional and technical advice to senior management and service areas on financial reporting requirements, asset management, and tax-related issues.
