Assemble and fit upholstery materials onto frames or seats, ensuring a neat and secure finish. Repair and restore existing seats or furniture replacing damaged fabric, padding, springs or frames as needed. Operate hand tools, sewing machines and pneumatic equipment safely and efficiently for cutting, stitching and assembling materials. Follow design specifications, patterns and technical drawings to achieve precise results. Perform quality inspections to ensure finished products meet company and customer standards. Maintain workshop cleanliness and adhere to health and safety procedures, including safe handling of sharp tools and heavy materials. Maintain inventory of fabrics, materials and supplies, notifying management when stock levels are low. Requirements Proven experience in upholstery, furniture making or automotive seat upholstery is highly regarded Proficiency in measuring, cutting, sewing and assembling fabrics, leather and foam. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, patterns or design specifications. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, sewing machines and pneumatic equipment. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work Basic understanding of materials, padding, springs, and frames. Ability to perform minor repairs and restorations. Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
