Do you love hair, makeup, or simply making someone feel special? We’re looking for friendly, caring volunteers to help create a salon-like experience for aged care residents—an experience that’s about much more than just appearance. It’s about helping people feel beautiful, seen and valued. As a Hair & Beauty Volunteer, you’ll help with: - Light hairstyling or brushing - Applying makeup (where appropriate and welcomed) - Chatting about fashion and beauty while flipping through magazines - Creating a warm, relaxed environment where each resident feels pampered and heard You don’t need to be a qualified hairdresser or makeup artist—just someone who enjoys one-on-one conversations and has a gentle, respectful approach to helping others look and feel their best. Whether it’s through a touch of lipstick, a styled fringe, or simply a kind chat over a magazine—your presence can brighten someone’s day in a truly meaningful way. Your impact Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yxFDDi9bS6c HammondCare HammondCare is an independent Christian charity and we're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need.
