Known for their strong commitment to quality, food safety and customer service, Sinclair Meats supplies retail and wholesale customers across the region. Due to operational requirements, they are seeking a dependable HR Truck Driver to support daily delivery operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys local driving, working autonomously and being part of a practical, team focused environment. The Role Reporting to the Transport & Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for the safe, timely and compliant delivery of product, while maintaining vehicle standards and completing all required documentation. This is a hands on role that requires attention to detail, reliability and a strong understanding of food safety and transport compliance. Responsibilities Your responsibilities will include: Safe and timely delivery of retail and wholesale products Ensuring all product is transported in line with PrimeSafe and food safety requirements Completing delivery, temperature and compliance paperwork accurately and daily Handling cash and cheque collections safely and ensuring all money is fully accounted for Loading and unloading product, including manual handling (up to 50kg within guidelines) Maintaining cleanliness, hygiene and roadworthiness of company vehicles Reporting vehicle maintenance issues immediately, checking oil and water levels weekly on all vehicles Ensuring returned product is accompanied by correct documentation Maintaining safe driving and hygiene standards at all times All duties will be undertaken in line with the Quality Management System. The Best Bits Stable role within a trusted, family owned business Local driving – no long haul or overnight trips Supportive and hands on management team Varied day to day work About You To be successful in this role, you will: Hold a current HR driver’s license Be comfortable with physical work and manual handling Have a strong commitment to safety, hygiene and compliance Be reliable, punctual and able to work independently Have good communication and basic numerical skills Be organised and capable of planning efficient delivery routes Previous experience in the meat or food industry is highly regarded but not essential.
