The Federal Hotel Bellingen is a popular local venue known for great food, friendly service and a relaxed community atmosphere. We are looking for a skilled and passionate Chef to join our kitchen team and help deliver high-quality meals to our guests. About the Role This is a hands-on role in a busy hotel kitchen, suited to a chef who enjoys working in a team environment and maintaining high standards of food quality and consistency. Key Duties & Responsibilities Prepare, cook and present menu items to a high standard Ensure consistency in taste, portion control and presentation Work efficiently during busy service periods Assist with daily food preparation and cooking duties Monitor food quality at all stages of preparation and service Assist with menu planning and daily/weekly specials Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety Ensure compliance with WHS and food safety regulations Assist with stock control, ordering and receiving goods Minimise food wastage and support cost control procedures Maintain a clean, organised and safe kitchen environment Support and train junior kitchen staff when required About You Trade-qualified Chef or equivalent experience Experience working in a busy hotel or restaurant Strong teamwork and communication skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Good time management and organisation skills Passion for quality food and presentation If you are a motivated chef looking to join a great local venue, we would love to hear from you.
