Project Officer – Digital team, Fair Trading Grade: Clerk Grade 7/8 Salary range: $113,574 - $125,720 superannuation and leave loading Duration: Full-time, Temporary to 30 June 2028 Location: 4 Parramatta Square (base) and Rawson Place, Sydney as required from time to time. About the team NSW Fair Trading is responsible for the administration of property and consumer protection laws in NSW. The Fair Trading Digital team works collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders to provide the best digital solutions for our customers. About the role Fair Trading Digital is implementing a multi-year Digital Modernisation Strategy. Working with the Principal Program Manager and the broader Digital Modernisation Program team, you will perform general project management and administrative support activities. This is a critical, high-contribution role with the opportunity to take ownership of aspects of planning, Agile ceremonies, communications, recruitment, reporting, records management and much more. Your Responsibilities Project coordination: Coordinate multiple digital projects using established methodologies including Agile with high initiative and attention to detail. Support Delivery Managers directly. Takeover “scrum mastering” of ceremonies as needed. Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including high quality and timely plans, briefs, reports and minutes. Maintain consistent and up to date project records in line with Fair Trading and DCS requirements. Progress updates: Provide updates on project status, priorities and challenges. Follow guidance from senior staff and adjust actions accordingly. Takeover formal governance routines as needed. Stakeholder engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Facilitate effective communication to help ensure project deliverables are met. Coordinate working groups, committees, workshops and showcases. Budgeting: Support Delivery Managers with spend forecasting and management. Create and process procurement documentation, including purchase orders. Team coordination: Actively participate in and organise team meetings. Research and document delivery practices to inform continuous improvement. Pre-empt and resolve day-to-day resource needs and blockers. Recruitment support: Assist with all recruitment activities in accordance with Fair Trading and DCS processes. Ensure all onboarding and offboarding activities are planned and implemented. To be successful in this role you will demonstrate (required attributes): Previous experience in a similar large scale digital program role, or with similar responsibilities. Experience with JIRA, Confluence and Agile concepts and excellent knowledge of MS tools. Strong initiative, attention to detail and ability to learn. Ability to balance competing demands. Strong written and verbal communication skills in a project context. Experience applying NSW Government practices and standards and governance processes.
