Reporting into the Group Manager, Project Controls, this role will ensure the effective delivery of project controls and project financial management services, including implementation of systems, advice, analysis and training, that fulfils the business requirements and meets the needs of all key stakeholders. Based in North Sydney, with occasional travel as required. This position will: Support the business (Corporate / BU / Project as required) in a range of project controls functions, in particular Minerva subcontract management implementation and Rover (for daily costing and production / productivity monitoring). Identify and document project controls system and business analysis needs Coordinate the development and implementation of project controls systems Develop and maintain processes and practices to ensure consistent and effective implementation of project controls systems and tools Maintain effective process to enable timely and accurate management and reporting of project financials and key project controls metrics Conduct project controls reviews on a regular and ad hoc basis as required Contribute to the continuous improvements and initiatives to refine and maintain project controls systems, methods and policies, to ultimately deliver efficient, accurate and timely project financial data and forecasts Provide and coordinate effective project controls training to enable achievement of desired levels of competency Our minimum requirements for this role are: Relevant Tertiary Qualifications Computer literacy with a sound knowledge of financial software High level of competency in using Microsoft Office tool (Word / Excel / PowerPoint / Power BI) Previous experience in CPB system(s) is beneficial and preferable, but not a must – the right candidate will be expected to gain competence in holistic project controls suite over time. Commercial / contract administration / engineering background, with interest in pursuing career in project controls, with good communication and analytical skills.
