The team plays a key role in delivery of critical strategies that shape SafeWork NSW’s regulatory approach to compliance and enforcement programs, supporting safe workplaces across NSW. About the Role This role requires experience in leading teams, along with knowledge and awareness of compliance and enforcement programs and approaches within a regulatory environment, including the use of enforceable undertakings as an alternative to prosecution. As a Team Coordinator, you will: Have an understanding of WHS legislation and other relevant legislation and be able to execute activities within our regulatory environment Build capability across the inspectorate to undertake assessments and verification activities to support compliance and enforcement programs that address risk and compliance challenges in the workplace Lead complex inspections, stakeholder engagement, and compliance and enforcement projects and activities Work closely with project officers and support staff to deliver our strategic compliance and enforceable undertakings programs Provide leadership and foster a high-performing organisational culture Identify and respond to emerging issues and risks in a dynamic environment Manage complex matters in highly sensitive contexts Demonstrate strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills Key Attributes Proven ability to manage complex matters, including cross-agency jurisdiction and stakeholder engagement Be innovative and creative having an appreciation for behavioural science and what motivates behaviour change for individuals and workplaces Establish performance outcomes and measures for key project goals, and define monitoring, reporting and communication requirements Ability to manage competing priorities and achieve common objectives. Excellent communication skills to engage and influence key stakeholders to improve safety outcomes. Demonstrated resilience and ability to work independently within a high performing team.
