The Organisation: This business is a dominant and fast-growing player in the wholesale market. As they continue to grow, we are seeking an Inventory Controller & Purchasing Officer who is ready to step up, take ownership, and become a key operational pillar of the business. About the role: This role is ideal for someone with experience in inventory control and purchasing who is ready to take the next step in their career. You will be responsible for managing stock accuracy, purchasing, replenishment, supplier coordination and continuous improvement initiatives that directly impact profitability. You will have the opportunity to make meaningful decisions, work closely with internal teams and suppliers and play a critical role in ensuring their stores and customers have the right stock, at the right time, at the right cost. Key Responsibilities: Purchasing & Replenishment Manage monthly stock ordering and ongoing replenishment requirements Oversee daily backorder management and supplier follow-ups Coordinate inter-branch transfers and stock releases Manage overdue purchase orders and consumables ordering Participate in new product reviews with internal stakeholders Inventory Management Conduct cycle counts and stocktakes, including investigation and reporting of variances Manage aged, slow-moving, and obsolete stock Maintain bin locations and bulk storage accuracy Returns, Credits & Warranty Process warranty, repair, and credit requests (RFC / RMA) Perform technical verification where required Store & Warehouse Collaboration Ensure correct receipting, storage, and location of stock Maintain POS vs physical stock accuracy Work closely with warehouse teams to support smooth operations Continuous Improvement Identify and implement process improvements across inventory and purchasing Drive efficiency and profitability improvements within the function To be successful in this role, you'll bring: Previous experience in inventory control, purchasing and procurement Strong attention to detail and data accuracy Commercial and analytical mindset with the ability to make fast, informed decisions Proactive, accountable, and comfortable owning outcomes Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work collaboratively while also operating independently A genuine desire to grow and take on increased responsibility What’s In It for You: Please note: Business Hours are 7:00 am - 5:00 pm Comprehensive training and support to help you succeed A fast-paced, dynamic work environment where your impact is visible Competitive salary package plus a healthy profit share scheme A team culture that values initiative, ownership, and growth Working hours are 7am-330 OR 830-5pm 5 days a week in the office Free Onsite Parking available Team Lunch once a month Team Dinner/activity once a Quarter Birthday celebrations Annual review 3% If you’re looking for an opportunity to grow your career in inventory control and purchasing — and you’re ready to step into a role where your decisions matter — we want to hear from you.
