Your role Lead the design and delivery of vocational training programs for the NSW Sheriff’s Office at the NSW Sheriff and Justice Academy. Oversee operational and professional development courses, supervise participants, and manage course content and assessments. What you’ll do Coordinate and deliver state-wide vocational training and professional development programs for the NSW Sheriff and Justice Academy. Identify skills gaps and recommend improvements to training modules to enhance capability and performance. You will also… • Deliver and assess vocational training programs across operational, business, customer service, and leadership areas. • Design, develop, and implement operational training and professional development programs, policies, and procedures. • Ensure compliance and quality assurance of training modules, records, and accreditation standards for RTO requirements. • Monitor performance, provide feedback, and maintain adherence to statutory regulations, including WHS, EEO, and Code of Conduct. What we’re looking for • Communication Skills – Clearly convey information and engage learners during training sessions. • Adaptability – Adjust training methods and programs to meet diverse needs and changing compliance requirements. • Attention to Detail – Ensure accuracy in records, compliance, and quality assurance processes. • Leadership & Interpersonal Skills – Motivate and guide team members, provide constructive feedback, and foster a positive learning environment. • Qualifications – A current certificate IV in Training and Assessment or higher is mandatory for this role • Qualifications in government and/or leadership and management • First Aid Training experience is not required but highly regarded.
