Applications are being sought to fill the position of Executive Group Manager (EGM), Chief Operating Officer for a long-term contract from 01 April 2026. The Chief Operating Officer (COO), Corporate Services Division is a key member of the Health and Community Services Directorate (HCSD) Executive Leadership team and contributor to the strategic direction and decision making of the directorate. The COO helps develop strategic solutions; influences change and provides timely advice and support to the Deputy Directors-General and Director-General with a particular focus on corporate functions, performance and reporting and the directorate’s relationship with other directorates and our Ministers’ office. This role is responsible for providing strategic leadership to four corporate functions all led by Executive Branch Managers. The COO is also required to lead a variety of whole-of-government committees and/or initiatives, working collaboratively with other ACT Government directorates and/or agencies in the development of key policies, programs or projects. Remuneration: The position attracts a remuneration package ranging from $377,954 - $389,635 depending on current superannuation arrangements of the successful applicant. This includes a cash component of $333,737. Contract: The successful applicant will be engaged under a performance-based long-term contract for a period of up to five years.
