Description Role scope Due to rescheduling recently undertaken, Kent Projects requires additional Blue-Collar resources from February to undertake discrete work scopes/packages on the Ampol Future Fuels Project in Lytton. As a Pipe Fitter you will play a critical role in the fabrication, installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems. You will be responsible for activities such as: cutting, threading, bevelling of pipes and fittings, as well as assembling and installing various piping components such as valves, supports, inline instruments and special piping items. This position requires a high level of technical expertise, precision, and dedication to quality workmanship. Your Day to Day will Include: Fabricate piping via various methods incl: cutting, threading, roll groove and bevelling of prespooled and stick built piping to blueprints, drawings and specifications, ensuring they fit together seamlessly. Assemble and install various fixtures, such as valves, fittings, and hangers/pipe supports, to ensure proper functionality of the piping system. Follow quality control systems and techniques Interpret engineering and detailed fabrication drawings, specifications and standards to complete tasks accurately. Ability to mark out and measure accurately. Demonstrate a commitment to workplace safety and the safety of your co-workers; Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Maintain and care for equipment, tools, and machinery, ensuring they are in proper working condition. Collaborate with other team members, including engineers, QA/QC inspectors, and construction management team, to achieve project goals and timelines. Keep detailed records of work performed: including, Flange Management & Fit up tags, Workpacks and Weld maps. Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices to enhance skills and knowledge. About You: Our ideal candidate holds a Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Boilermaker) or equivalent and has proven experience working with carbon steel, stainless steel and Inconel materials. They are skilled in both large and small bore piping and can confidently read and interpret Isometric and P&ID drawings. The candidate must have current (within the last 2 years) RIIWHS204 Work at Heights and RIIWHS202 Confined Space competencies, along with a Construction White Card and a valid C Class Australian Driver’s License.
