About the role We are seeking Full Time Security Officers to work at the Department of Health and Human across our Seddon and Kensington sites. You will be responsible for conducting foot patrols, securing buildings and providing support to residents. The position offers a Level 3 pay rate of $28.38 per hour, plus super and shift penalties where applicable. Duties include but are not limited to: Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows and gates. Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances. Provide assistance to residents and visitors in a courteous and professional manner. Enforce property rules and regulations to maintain order. Write reports in response to incidents or unusual activity, ensuring all information is documented. Ideal candidates will have: Demonstrated ability to handle crisis situations calmly and efficiently and prior experience working in a challenging environment. Excellent communication skills and the ability to report incidents clearly and accurately. Physical stamina and the ability to stand or walk for extended periods. Requirements: Full Australian working rights. Certificate II in Security Operations (or higher) and a valid Victorian Security Licence. Valid First Aid and CPR Certificates (or willing to obtain). Working with children check (or willing to obtain). Willing to undergo a National Police Check. Availability to work a rotating 24/7 roster.
