About the role As a Connections Customer Technical Support Officer, you will be the first point of contact for technical support and troubleshooting for Essential Energy’s external customers and partners. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring smooth operations within the connections process, providing expert advice, resolving complex queries, and supporting ongoing improvements to our systems and services. Key responsibilities include: Provide technical support and advice to Accredited Service Providers (ASPs), Electrical Contractors (ECs), and other partners. Investigate and resolve customer issues related to registration, access, and portal operations. Manage both routine and complex customer enquiries, escalating when necessary. Support cross-team collaboration and process improvement initiatives. Prepare reports, correspondence, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders. Experience in customer support, ideally within the energy or utilities sector. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities. Proficiency in business systems and computer operations. About You You are a forward-thinking, strategic leader with deep expertise in digital infrastructure. You understand both the legacy systems and the future of technology, and you know how to bring people together to achieve great things. You’re not expected to be hands-on with the technology, but you have strong technical acumen and the ability to think critically and strategically. You thrive in high-risk environments, are sensitive to the needs of both traditional and digital teams, and are committed to open, honest, and transparent leadership. Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities. Proficiency in business systems and computer operations. Required Qualifications A Certificate IV in Business or equivalent experience.
