Your Role at St John of God Subiaco Hospital Due to an increase in our scheduled theatre sessions, we are seeking highly motivated and skilled professionals to join our team. We are recruiting full time, part time and casual Scrub/Scout Registered Nurses. Perioperative nursing at a St John of God Health Care encompasses different aspects of the entire patient Surgical journey, which is both exciting and extremely rewarding. We provide opportunities for nurses to enhance and discover new skills including supporting a range of different case mixes including complex surgeries. Our nurses provide excellent clinical care at all stages of the perioperative journey, from pre-surgery, in theatre and post-surgery. The Position Assesses plans, delivers and evaluates patient care, seeking support from senior staff as required. Promotes and contributes to effective communication, facilitating teamwork and cooperation within the department and within the hospital. Provides patient education and acts as a resource where appropriate. Supports and supervises staff and students as required, including orientating and precepting staff. Contributes to the achievement of Hospital and Clinical Services operational objectives. You will be a Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration and experience working in a perioperative setting. You bring a strong commitment to high-quality, patient-centred care, along with well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective, collaborative relationships. To succeed you will have an ability to work effectively and harmoniously within the multi-disciplinary health care team, with a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
