The CommSec Data and Insights Centre of Excellence (CoE) is a central Data and Analytics function under the PACE model that supports the delivery of Data and Advanced Analytics offerings and services at PACE. The CoE’s mission is to provide trusted data, capabilities and actionable insights in partnership with our stakeholders to drive customer experience, empower decision making and safeguard our data. We support the strategic decision-making process of the business by way of regular reporting, campaign marketing and remediation analytics. We are also responsible for providing integrated online and offline behavioural insights, building analytics frameworks that help assess and drive customer engagement and building advanced analytics solutions and tools to help CommSec optimise its resources, improve its processes and minimise risk. Key Responsibilities As an Advanced Analytics Manager within the Operations and Service Squad in the Digital and Customer Crew, you will play a key role in enabling the effective management of operational and service-related incidents across CommSec. You will support the delivery of the Operations and Service Analytics backlog, focusing on non-financial incidents, financial crime incidents, regulatory and mandatory obligations, and broader operational risk outcomes. Leveraging your advanced SQL, Python and strong commercial acumen, you will design and deliver advanced analytics solutions that generate actionable insights into incident drivers, control effectiveness, and emerging risk themes. Your work will support financial crime detection and remediation, incident and issue management, regulatory and management reporting, predictive modelling, and the responsible application of agentic AI. You will partner closely with Operations and Risk stakeholders to strengthen the control environment, implement analytics-led risk management solutions, and drive operational efficiency through automation and proactive monitoring. Other responsibilities will include Use CommSec and Group data and systems to complete complex and advanced data analysis that gives the business essential information to help manage risk Perform detailed analysis of CommSec and Group data to provide the business with information to respond to regulatory requests within specific timeframes Complete required project work stream outputs with quality assurance/approval for your area of responsibility or other additional requests for analytics Collaborate with key business partners to understand business needs and help shape the advanced analytics backlog. At least 5 years of Analytics experience in Financial Services or Customer Experience Demonstrated expertise in delivering advanced analytical solutions within high-complexity environments, including applying sophisticated statistical, predictive, and machine-learning techniques to support business decision-making. Advanced proficiency in SQL and modern data technologies, including Microsoft SQL Server, Teradata, Python and AWS with a proven ability to manipulate, analyse, and model large-scale, complex datasets using efficient and scalable practices. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to develop relationships and influence stakeholders Sound experience across data management, information strategy, and analytics, including data governance, data quality, advanced modelling, and the development of automated analytical workflows.
