Do work that matters The Engine Optimisation (EO) team sits within the broader Marketing > Media chapter and leads the design and delivery of strategies across Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO), and Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO). You’ll be responsible for managing visibility and performance across CBA’s digital ecosystem - spanning products and services - ensuring our content is structured, credible and discoverable across both search and generative platforms. You’ll work closely with marketing managers, product teams, digital content teams, analytics, paid media, PR, Risk & Compliance and AI specialists to evolve our share of voice and overall performance across all traditional as well as new AI-assisted channels. See yourself in the team This role reports into EO Chapter Lead and as Engine Optimisation Manager, you will: Lead the integration of SEO, AEO, and GEO frameworks across product portfolios. Define and monitor CommBank’s Share of Voice (SOV) - tracking visibility and sentiment across search and LLM ecosystems. Promote effective information architecture, content structuring, machine understanding, and prompt optimisation using CBA's AI tools. Collaborate with PR, Corporate affairs, media, marketing and partnerships to amplify credible citations and brand mentions in generative results. Support the evolution of AI-ready workflows - from schema design and taxonomy consistency to LLM tracking and analytics automation. Knowledge sharing, upskilling & training mindset on emerging optimisation practices and ensure alignment with brand, compliance, and accessibility standards. On any given week you will: Analyse and enhance products and services for the Business Units to increase CommBank’s organic visibility across search engines and AI-powered discovery platforms. Collaborate with agency partners on EO foundations tasks and BU initiatives Participate in cross-functional sprints focused on content comprehension, structured data, and AI prompt optimisation. Partner with product, content, analytics & other relevant teams to improve accuracy of brand and product representation across AI models. Collaborate with paid, social, owned and earned media teams to optimise dependency on paid visibility through better organic discovery. Review & build performance dashboards (e.g. SEMrush, BrightEdge, GA4, GSC, Adobe Analytics, Tableau, etc.) to identify trends and improvement areas. Conduct experiments with the testing team to test prompt design, knowledge graph updates, and structured content enhancements. Report on performance metrics including share of voice, sentiment distribution, visibility growth, and source quality. Experience managing large-scale digital properties and implementing structured data, schema, and taxonomy consistency. Familiarity with SEO/AEO tools and AI model monitoring platforms. Proven ability to collaborate across product, content, data, and marketing teams to deliver integrated visibility outcomes. Strategic mindset with capability to translate AI and search trends into actionable optimisation frameworks. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to simplify technical concepts. Degree in digital marketing, communications, data analytics, or a related field is a win.
