Position Available : People & Capability Business Partner Location : Richlands About the Role: This role supports People and Capability Service Delivery for the East Coast Region as well providing support to the wider National portfolios, including Senior Leaders, Managers, and a large blue-collar workforce, as assigned by the National People and Capability Manager. Working collaboratively with the Centurion’s Leadership Teams, this role will apply best practice HR knowledge in harmony with developed influencing and communication skills. Aligning with the HR Strategy, initiatives include the likes of leadership development, talent and succession planning, change management, workforce planning and a significant focus on IR/ER strategies, which includes managing underperformance, dismissals and grievance resolution. The People and Capability Business Partner will provide support and coach Centurion Leadership Teams and Frontline Managers to enhance employee engagement and compliance while supporting broader strategic HR initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Be a "Change Champion" when it affects Leadership Capability, Process/Systems, Culture, and Employee Engagement. Fulfilling KPIs to promote and exemplify the Centurion core values and anticipated behaviours in each of the accountabilities below. Business Partnering Provide the Centurion Leadership teams with coaching and mentoring that fosters a positive, high-performing and safe culture. Drive continuous improvement of the HR function through effective influencing and collaborative working relations. Execute HR strategies and services across all functions, including policy development, salary review, performance management, employee engagement, talent mapping, succession planning, workforce planning, and learning development. Industrial Relations Undertake workplace investigations and grievance resolution for the portfolio and provide assistance to the Senior People and Capability Business Partner and the National People and Capability Manager on IR related matters. Provide support, counsel and advice to managers regarding underperformance, misconduct, disciplinary action and dismissals including the end-to-end management of workplace investigations and grievance resolution. Interpret Enterprise Agreements, Awards and Contracts, providing advice to Company stakeholders accordance with company policies and procedures. Support the Senior People and Capability Business Partner in liaising with the Fair Work Commission in relation to unfair dismissal and claims of adverse action, and the relevant paperwork. HR Developments and Projects Assist the Senior People and Capability Business Partner and broader business with acquisitions and structural modifications while upholding excellent HR practices to facilitate transformation, expansion, and governance of all pertinent HR policies and processes. HR Reporting Administration & Safety Complete regular HR reporting for the designated portfolio, sharing insights and learning opportunities for continuous improvement Responsible and accountable for championing culture focused on safe working practices; reporting any safety incidents or concerns to your manager. Ensuring compliance with all relevant OH&S requirements and conforming to quality systems and procedures. Skills and Experience: Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or Business and ideally AHRI membership. Prior experience in a People Advisor, HR Generalist or similar role operating within in a fast-paced, blue-collar setting, (preferably in the transportation and logistics sector). Extensive Knowledge of National Employment Standards and solid knowledge and understanding of Fair Work Act and its interactions with Awards and Enterprise Agreements. Solid experience in high volume employee relations with demonstrated understanding in maintaining procedural fairness and natural justice. Ability to work highly autonomously and without supervision. Self-starter that is driven in exceeding Company expectations and lead transformational change. Exceptional communication skills with a natural ability to build trusted working relations that enables influence amongst business leaders. Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to think practically and logically through difficult and complex situations to offer a business focused solution.
