Infrastructure Canberra (iCBR) is responsible for leading and supporting the procurement and delivery of the ACT Government’s infrastructure programs. Our work enhances Canberra’s liveability and supports a vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable city. We plan, procure, and deliver major infrastructure, coordinate whole‑of‑government programs, and provide expert property management services across government. The Community and Government Engagement Team delivers centralised customer service, business development, and lease management functions for a diverse portfolio of government and community venues. This includes iconic and much‑loved spaces such as Yarralumla Woolshed, the Transport Depot, Fitters’ Workshop, and a range of community halls. We are seeking a motivated and customer‑focused Bookings and Operations Coordinator to join our Venues team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth administration of venue hire arrangements and delivering exceptional service to clients and stakeholders. The successful applicant will thrive in a dynamic environment, demonstrate strong organisational and interpersonal skills, and consistently present a friendly and professional first impression. You will manage a high volume of enquiries, coordinate venue operations, and support the effective promotion of our venues. Working under limited direction, you will manage and respond to a high volume of booking enquiries by phone and email, ensuring clients receive timely, accurate, and professional service. You will conduct onsite inspections across multiple venues, providing clear information and addressing client questions. You will undertake a range of administrative tasks to support venue hire arrangements, including processing booking forms, confirming bookings, and preparing hirer orientation packs. You will ensure correct hire fees are applied and invoices are requested promptly, including the preparation of bond return requests with strong attention to detail. You will coordinate venue operational service programs such as cleaning and waste removal, and you will oversee the promotion and advertising of venues by maintaining social media content, website information, and image galleries. You will also support other venue hire and booking activities as required and provide administrative assistance to management to ensure the smooth operation of the team.
