The Policy Branch in the Work Safety Group is currently recruiting an Assistant Director to work in the Secure Local Jobs Code Team. The Secure Local Jobs Code Team is responsible for administering the Secure Local Jobs Code non behalf of the Registrar, the Ethical Treatment of Workers Evaluation, as well as a number of other legislative instruments. The team has two core functions: compliance and investigations, and regulatory assessments. While you’re in an Assistant Director role you will have the opportunity to: Assess applications for secure local jobs code certificates and provide recommendations to the Registrar. As part of a team or individually, deliver education and training to businesses and contract managers within the Government on the requirements of the Code. As part of a team or individually, respond to complaints received by the Registrar in relation to allegations of noncompliance with the Code. Conduct investigations including gathering evidence, formal statements, conduct research and prepare reports on investigation findings for the Registrar. Performing a range of office administration, records management, data collection and reporting tasks. Supervise staff.
