Pay Rate: $80 - 85.00 Per Hour Roster: 8:6 Employment: Temp to Perm Start Date: 15th Jan 2026 About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Heavy-Duty (HD) Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will perform maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on heavy machinery and equipment, ensuring safety, reliability, and optimal performance. This role operates on an 8:6 roster, offering an excellent work-life balance for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities: Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on heavy machinery, including excavators, loaders, trucks, and other industrial equipment. Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults and implement effective solutions. Assemble, install, repair, and test components, systems, and machinery to manufacturer specifications. Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime. Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, including reports, logbooks, and compliance documentation. Follow workplace health and safety procedures, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards. Collaborate with other tradespeople and supervisors to achieve operational goals. Skills & Qualifications: Trade qualification in Heavy Diesel Fitting, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant field. Proven experience as a Heavy-Duty Fitter in mining, construction, or industrial environments. Strong understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals. Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
