What you'll do Utilise high level knowledge and skills of haematology, transfusion and quality management, acting as a resource person in all aspects of quality processes that affect the Transfusion and Haematology disciplines across all laboratories within the Toowoomba Group. Apply independent scientific judgement in the analysis of patient specimens leading to the verification and validation of test results and the provision of advice to the clinical unit where appropriate. Undertake diagnostic testing and related duties following Pathology Queensland established accredited protocols and standards within a multidisciplinary team in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards Assist in managing the quality of service delivery, comply with organisational policies and procedures, and assist the laboratory to comply with all relevant legislative, administrative, and professional standards. About you We are searching for someone with: High level knowledge and skill in the scientific, technical, and quality aspects of Haematology & Transfusion. The ability to work with a high degree of independence, produce effective work output with accuracy and attention to detail. Well-developed written and oral communication skills to build effective professional relationships with clients and colleagues, to provide advice, modify or adapt procedures, or to influences outcomes and/or encourage behavioural change. Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to work cooperatively, and collaboratively. High level knowledge, expertise and skill in applying the principles of quality management, with a high-level understanding of laboratory quality control, quality assurance programs and NATA / ISO / TGA accreditation / certification requirements. Demonstrated ability to cooperate and actively participate in a working environment supporting quality human resource management practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, workplace health and safety and an ethical environment.
