Biosecurity Queensland is seeking a Senior Field Supervisor to lead teams in remote and rugged environments as part of the National Tropical Weeds Eradication Program. This role is perfect for someone passionate about environmental conservation, teamwork, and biosecurity. About the RoleAs a Senior Field Supervisor, you will lead and support field teams to conduct surveillance, treatment, and eradication of invasive tropical weeds. You will work in challenging and remote environments across North Queensland, ensuring the safety, well-being, and effectiveness of your team while adhering to biosecurity protocols and workplace health, safety and wellbeing (HSW) requirements. What We Are Looking For- We are seeking a highly motivated and capable individual who has: Experience in supervising field teams in outdoor or remote settings.- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions in challenging conditions.- The ability to motivate and support teams, ensuring a safe and productive work environment.- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with team members, landowners, and stakeholders.- Experience in weed control, biosecurity, or tropical fieldwork (highly desirable).- Commitment to workplace health, safety, and wellbeing (HSW), including adherence to departmental safety system requirements.
