Geriatric Medicine Advanced Trainee (Registrar) 2026–2027 | Victoria RACP-Accredited & Non-Accredited Applicants Welcome This role provides a diverse, supportive and high-quality training environment, ideal for doctors seeking to develop strong clinical, leadership and academic skills across the full spectrum of geriatric care. As a Geriatric Medicine Registrar, you will gain comprehensive exposure to inpatient, outpatient, emergency and community-based geriatric medicine through a structured rotation program. Term allocations are individualised to meet training needs, while maintaining service requirements. Clinical Rotations May Include Geriatric Evaluation and Management (GEM) Unit Orthogeriatrics & Surgical Liaison Acute Geriatric Medicine, including Psychiatry and General Medicine consults Geriatric Medicine in the Emergency Department Community Geriatric Medicine (GEM@Home) Outpatient & Subspecialty Exposure Registrars actively participate in weekly geriatric clinics, which may include: General Geriatric Medicine Cognitive, Dementia and Memory Services (CDAMS) Telehealth clinics Falls and Balance clinics Continence clinics Movement Disorders Clinic This breadth of exposure supports development of strong diagnostic, multidisciplinary and continuity-of-care skills.
