Cement Australia is seeking a highly skilled Asset Reliability Engineer to take charge of optimising and improving plant performance at our Naval Base site . Your Opportunity Reporting to the Planning, Shutdown and Inventory Manager, in this role, you will: Manage reliability and asset improvement projects, working closely with the maintenance and projects teams. Implement condition-based monitoring systems to optimise plant performance. Ensure long-term asset management strategies are executed, driving cost-efficiency and increased availability. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant operations and troubleshoot complex issues. Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCA’s) to identify and resolve plant performance issues. Provide technical support for CAPEX and OPEX projects, ensuring alignment with reliability objectives. Play a key role in reducing costs, increasing plant uptime, and improving overall operational performance. What You’ll Bring A degree in Mechanical Engineering with proven experience in cement or heavy manufacturing (fixed plant) environments. Expertise in reliability engineering, RCM, CBM, and failure analysis. Demonstrated leadership and communication skills with experience managing contractor teams. Proficiency in SAP and MS Suite, or a similar CMMS, for asset and inventory management. A solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to troubleshoot and drive continuous improvement.
