As a Donor Engagement Coordinator , you will play a pivotal role in delivering our ambitious strategy to grow revenue and secure significant philanthropic gifts. In this role, you will: Collaborate with caregivers and stakeholders to design and implement donor engagement strategies. Support a wide range of initiatives—communications, events, and special projects—that strengthen relationships between donors, the Foundation, and the beneficiaries of philanthropy. Drive meaningful engagement with prospects and donors from all walks of life, ensuring their contributions are recognized and valued. Your work will directly influence our ability to retain and inspire current and future donors, helping us advance healthcare for the community. The Position Support the Director of Philanthropy to coordinate the implementation and continuous improvement of an operational framework or ‘stewardship plan’ regarding acknowledgement, recognition, ongoing communications and continued stewardship of past and current major donors to enhance their relationship with the Foundation. Under the direction of the Director of Philanthropy, lead the development, planning, execution and evaluation of fundraising, cultivation and stewardship events for major donors, gifts in wills donors and prospective donors in collaboration with other Foundation caregivers. Recommend and implement project plans for continuous improvement of donor experiences. Contribute to the development and implementation of procedures to support a high-quality donor experience with the Foundation, increasing the likelihood of continued contributions. Work collaboratively with other members of the Foundation team to develop communication materials, compile appropriate lists, engage featured program participants, develop program materials, briefings and reports, as appropriate. Coordinate and contribute to the periodic review of donor engagement platforms, including events and communications. Undertake a wide range of administration and reporting duties, including but not limited to, ongoing reporting on the stewardship program to enable analysis of donor engagement strategies. Conduct ethical prospect research and profiling of current and potential philanthropic supporters and community and corporate partners. Coordinate and maintain a calendar of Trusts and Foundations funding opportunities and follow up dates as relevant. Develop and maintain accurate records and record keeping systems and determine requirements, and contribute to, the development of proposals and reports for Trust and Foundations. You will have 2-3 years’ experience in a project management, business development or grant coordination role or similar, along with experience in project and/or program coordination, including budget management, workload planning, stakeholder engagement, and activity evaluation. You will have excellent organisational skills with demonstrated ability to set priorities and to coordinate multiple activities and projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. You will have high standards of personal and professional integrity. This role requires flexibility to work outside of usual business hours as required on events important to the Foundation, as well as intrastate and interstate travel to support the local and national philanthropy function. To succeed you will possess a Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline e.g. project management, marketing, communications, commerce etc and/or relevant work experience in a similar role.
