The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Senior Operations Manager to lead a complex, multi-site distribution operation across Sydney. This role has accountability for three sites, two direct reports, and approximately 17 indirect reports, within a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. This is a senior leadership position suited to someone who can operate at a strategic and planning level, while also being comfortable getting hands-on and solving problems on the floor when required. You will lead end-to-end warehouse and distribution operations, with responsibility for: Multi-site operational performance including order fulfilment, receiving, inventory accuracy, and shipping Safety, WHS, and compliance, ensuring a safe and inclusive workplace Leading, coaching, and developing people leaders, with a strong focus on succession planning and bench strength Driving performance through KPIs, continuous improvement, and LEAN methodologies Full ownership of an expense-based P&L, budgets, and cost control Partnering with Sales and internal stakeholders to align operational capacity with customer expectations Transformation & Strategy Beyond day-to-day operations, this role will play a key role in upcoming strategic initiatives, including: A review and potential consolidation of multiple sites is planned for 2026. Supporting the Australian rollout of a new global ERP system, including change management and migration (Q4 2026) Contributing to broader operational improvement and digital transformation initiatives About You We’re looking for a senior operations leader who brings the following experience and attributes: Demonstrated senior operations leadership experience, ideally within distribution or warehouse environments Proven experience leading multi-site operations Strong commercial and financial acumen Able to think strategically while remaining hands-on and detail-focused from a day to day operations perspective Proactive and solutions-oriented, with the ability to get ahead of issues rather than react to crisis A strong people leader who can develop teams, drive engagement initiatives, and build future leaders Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-pressure environments Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and WMS/ERP systems Experience with continuous improvement and LEAN methodologies Confident communicator across frontline teams and senior leadership Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams) This is a high-impact role offering both operational ownership today and the opportunity to shape the future direction of the business.
