Description Overview The Scenario Testing and Control Lead designs, implements, and oversees CPS 230–aligned scenario testing to ensure critical operations can be maintained within tolerance levels. The role develops realistic test cases, validates MSLs, strengthens operational resilience, and supports business continuity planning and risk assessments. Hybrid working conditions Drive strong governance and collaboration Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities Strategic Focus Lead CPS 230–aligned scenario testing programs that reflect risk appetite and resilience goals. Translate regulatory expectations into clear, actionable testing plans. Support ongoing maintenance of the BCM framework. Work with business units to identify critical processes and disruption impacts. Contribute to risk and control frameworks, including RACMs. Design user journey and process-based scenarios with functional and control validations. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-moving and complex environment. Operational Risk Management / Resilience Establish and maintain MSLs for critical operations and service providers. Embed resilience into processes, systems, and service delivery models. Develop detailed scenario test cases and validate control effectiveness and user experience. Use scenario analysis to anticipate operational impacts and support contingency planning. Support teams in delivering effective scenario testing across critical processes. Create role-based access tests. Analyse results, identify defects, and drive remediation. Provide guidance and training on scenario testing, MSLs, and operational risk practices. Influence teams to adopt proactive resilience and governance approaches. Contribute to operational resilience reporting and dashboards. Provide input to process mapping on risk and control updates. Ensure compliance with CPS 230 and internal processes. Governance & Risk Maintain governance over all scenario testing documentation, approvals, and reporting. Monitor compliance with CPS 230 and escalate issues appropriately. Meet internal and regulatory requirements for operational risk and business continuity. Work with all lines of risk to support the Operating Resilience Model. Promote strong risk awareness and compliance culture. Support resilience and CPS 230 training programs. Stay informed on regulatory changes and emerging risks. Comply with privacy requirements. Duties may adjust as business needs evolve. Experience & Personal Attributes Experience in operational risk, business continuity, or resilience roles. Strong understanding of CPS 230 and related prudential standards. Experience designing and executing scenario testing programs. Knowledge of service provider risk.
