Our Cotton Gin facility receive and process raw cotton to remove cotton seed and compress clean lint into cotton bales ready for export. For part of the year, you will help lead seasonal teams to safely run 12-hour shifts (day or night) to meet production targets and budgets. For the rest of the year, as part of the permanent team, you will be heavily involved in the repairs and preventative maintenance program. We have an opportunity for experienced Cotton Ginners who wants to be part of the leadership team at Mungindi Ginning , someone who wants to make a difference in our team and also our small community, we are open to offering this position to someone wanting to develop their skills further and grow into this position. About the role This is a hands-on role in our Cotton processing site based in Mungindi NSW. You will work in a small permanent team to: - supervise a seasonal team of workers during day or night shift - monitor production, conduct preventative maintenance and resolve breakdowns promptly to ensure downtime is minimised. - ensure safe systems of work and sufficient information, instruction, training, and supervision is provided for optimal health and safety Who we seek If you’re an experienced Cotton Ginner, we’d love to hear from you! We do however appreciate it’s a small industry, so we’re inviting trades (or equivalent) or those with strong mechanical aptitude from other industries to apply. You will of course need to be an ethical person, hard-working and safety-aware, able to think on your feet and troubleshoot, and take accountability to get results by working well with colleagues.
