Inventory Specialist (Materials & Inventory) Location: Perth Discipline: Supply Chain / Materials Management Sector: Energy / Oil & Gas We are seeking an experienced Inventory Specialist to support materials and inventory management activities across operational and project environments. This role is well suited to a candidate with a background in oil & gas or energy-sector supply chain, who is comfortable working with complex materials data, operational stakeholders, and SAP S/4HANA systems. Key Responsibilities The Inventory Specialist will support a range of materials and inventory-related activities, including: Supporting stocktaking activities, with a primary focus on drilling and subsea materials Providing transactional support within SAP S/4HANA, including: Disposals Transfers Consumptions Assisting with project close-out activities, ensuring materials are correctly accounted for and reconciled Supporting supplier and storage location improvements, including: Inventory disposals Supplier location clean-ups Working closely with internal stakeholders and vendors to resolve inventory issues and improve data quality Requirements Key Requirements Essential Proven experience as a Material / Inventory Specialist or similar role Strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA — particularly: Master Data MM (Materials Management) EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) and/or IM (Inventory Management) Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with: Internal stakeholders External suppliers and service providers Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Desirable Experience in change management or supporting system/process transitions Background in oil & gas, energy, or heavy industrial projects Supply chain, logistics, or materials management experience within a regulated operating environment About You You are a practical, detail-oriented professional who understands the importance of accurate inventory data in operational and project settings. You are comfortable working across systems and stakeholders, can manage competing priorities, and take ownership of resolving materials and inventory challenges.
