About the Role We are seeking an experienced to join our growing civil construction team in Western Australia. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications and data transmission infrastructure across a variety of construction and infrastructure projects. This position will see you working both independently and within a team environment on-site, supporting major civil works including subdivisions, road projects, and commercial developments. Key Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair data transmission equipment, aerial lines, conduits, cables, radio antennae, and telecommunications systems. Interpret drawings, plans, and specifications to determine the correct positioning and connections for installation. Locate and diagnose faults in telecommunications networks using testing instruments such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, ammeters, and transmission measuring equipment. Attach and connect wires and cables to equipment and appliances. Adjust, replace, and repair faulty items, and carry out testing to ensure systems meet quality and performance standards. Install cabling for telephone, radio, pay TV, and data networks within civil and construction environments. Join and seal cable sheaths using lead or thermoplastic materials. Erect, test, and maintain aerial and underground cables, as well as radio and mobile antennae. Install and commission telecommunications appliances and equipment, including telephones, switchboards, and data transmission systems. Skills & Qualifications Certificate III or IV in Telecomunications, Electronics, or a related discipline At least three years of relevant experience Previous experience working within the civil construction industry is highly regarded. Good understanding of AS/CA standards, NBN and Telstra infrastructure requirements. Current White Card (Construction Induction) is essential. Driver’s Licence and ability to travel to site as required. About You You are a safety-conscious and detail-oriented technician with strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach.
