Sustained hands‑on experience in centre operations within retail or commercial assets, including exposure to core services such as HVAC, electrical, fire and general contractor management. Ability to manage multiple priorities across a regional portfolio and work both autonomously and collaboratively Experience supporting capital works and refurbishment projects, including coordinating contractors, managing timelines, and ensuring minimal disruption to operations ( preferred) The role We’re looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of three retail centres, home to approximately 100 tenants. Be based in either Mackay or the Whitsundays Hub, you’ll take responsibility for managing hard services, maintenance programs, and contractor performance, while also supporting upcoming capital works projects to ensure seamless delivery with minimal disruption. Key Responsibilities Lead day-to-day operations across three retail centres & 100 retailers, ensuring safety, compliance, and high standards of presentation. Manage and respond to tenant requests, issues and queries in a timely, customer‑focused way, building strong relationships with approximately 100 retailers (including three majors) and centre stakeholders and ensuring minimal disruption to trading. Manage maintenance programs including planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works, overseeing contractors and ensuring timely, quality outcomes. Conduct regular inspections and compliance checks, maintaining accurate documentation and supporting risk management across all centres. Coordinate projects and capital works, assisting with planning, contractor access, and communication to keep initiatives on track.
