Job Description Role Responsibilities - • Mow Lawns, cut edges with hand and ride on mowers (front deck & Ztrack) and whipper snipper. • Planting garden beds and landscape maintenance • Remove litter from garden beds and driveways. • Prune shrubs and plants and remove dead branches and leaves. • Fertilising, mulching and maintaining the health of all plants with identification and prevention of diseases • Use of spraying equipment like backpack sprayer, knapsack sprayer and motorised spraying equipment, to control weeds, pests and insects. • General maintenance tasks such as raking and shovelling · • Tasks to be carried out in a manner that causes the least inconvenience to customers, staff and the general public. • Temporary warning signs placed when required. • Operate equipment and machinery in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations and the SNT operating procedures · Report maintenance and repair issues to the area supervisor. Understand and comply with quality, safety, health and environmental policies. • Follow written instructions, verbal direction and procedures to perform work. • Challenge any instructions that you believe places anyone or the environment at risk. • Take personal responsibility to protect the health and safety of people or the environment. Desired Skills and Experience SELECTION CRITERIA: ESSENTIALS: Class C Driver’s Licence (manual) Ability to work under supervision and as a team member. A satisfactory National Police Security Check Report. Be physically able to perform the duties of the position Be able to perform manual work for long periods outdoors DESIRABLE: Certificate I or equivalent qualification in horticulture. Chainsaw operator certificate (or be willing to obtain) Working with Children (Ochre Card) (or be willing to obtain) Construction Industry White Card (or be willing to obtain)
